BVM+ accepts submissions across all content categories. Whether you're an established filmmaker or an emerging creator with a powerful story — we want to hear from you.
Feature Films
Narrative films, dramas, comedies, thrillers, and genre films. We prioritize stories that reflect authentic Black and Brown experiences.
TV Series & Pilots
Scripted and unscripted series, pilots, and limited series. From prestige drama to reality formats — if the story is compelling, we want to see it.
Music & Performances
Music videos, live performances, concert films, and music documentaries. The Box and our music channels are always looking for new artists.
Documentaries
Feature-length and short documentaries on culture, history, social issues, sports, and the Black experience across the diaspora.
Talk Shows & Daytime
Talk shows, news formats, lifestyle, faith, and community programming. We're actively building our daytime lineup for BVM+ channels.
Short Films & Web Series
Short films under 40 minutes and web series with episodic formats. Great for emerging creators building their first slate.
Creator Deal Structure
How creators earn & grow.
BVM+ offers a transparent deal structure for creators — from compensation and sponsorship revenue sharing to rights ownership and a clear path to franchise-level partnership.
Content Focus
Short-form shows (5–15 min) highlighting Black-owned businesses in your community or niche industry. Content should be positive, culturally relevant, and visually engaging.
Compensation
Flat production stipend per episode: $500 – $2,500. Plus creator credit, promotion on BVM+, and optional bonuses for high-performing episodes.
Sponsorship Revenue
Creators can bring their own sponsors and earn 30% – 50% of net sponsor revenue. Use BVM's approved sponsorship kit for pitching brands.
Rights & Ownership
Creators retain authorship credit. BlkVision Media holds exclusive streaming and promotional rights for a period of 2 years.
Release Schedule
1–2 episodes per month minimum suggested. All episodes subject to BVM review before airing. Opportunities to evolve into full-time series or branded shows.
Growth Path
Start as a Bronze creator and grow to Platinum — leading franchise projects, earning consistent sponsor revenue, and becoming a key voice on BVM+.

Consistent sponsor revenue and platform features. Your content is a regular part of the BVM+ programming slate.
Franchise Creator
Leading new content projects and franchises. You're a key voice in the BVM+ creator ecosystem.
Creator levels are based on sponsorship activity, content consistency, and platform engagement. All creators start at Bronze and can advance based on performance.

What we look for.
BVM+ Originals are evaluated on at least 3 of 5 core criteria. Content that meets more criteria is prioritized for faster development and distribution.
Cultural Impact
Criterion 1Does the content reflect authentic Black and Brown experiences? Does it contribute meaningfully to the cultural conversation?
Audience Growth Potential
Criterion 2Is there a clear audience for this content? Does it have the potential to attract and retain viewers on the BVM+ platform?
Advertiser Friendliness
Criterion 3Can the content be monetized through advertising? Brand-safe content with broad appeal is prioritized for our AVOD channels.
Franchise Potential
Criterion 4Does the concept have legs? Series, recurring formats, and expandable universes are fast-tracked for development.
Distribution Scalability
Criterion 5Can the content be distributed across multiple platforms and devices? Content that works across FAST, AVOD, and SVOD is prioritized.

Our content team reviews every submission against our 5 core criteria. You'll hear back within 2–4 weeks on whether your content moves forward.
Content evaluation
Shortlisted content goes through a deeper evaluation with our creative leadership team, including audience fit, production quality, and platform alignment.
Partnership discussion
If your content is selected, we'll schedule a call to discuss distribution terms, revenue sharing, and how we can best support your project.
Typical timeline: 2–6 weeks
Most submissions receive an initial response within 2–4 weeks. Fast-tracked submissions (with built-in audience, sponsors, or completed pilots) may hear back sooner. We respond to every submission — even if it's not the right fit right now.
